I’m Maawiah Qaiser. I came to backend development through hands-on projects and a Computer Science background. I enjoy building APIs, designing schemas, and solving backend problems that help projects move forward.
Maawiah Qaiser is a backend developer based in Lahore, Pakistan. He builds production REST APIs with Laravel, PHP and MySQL at CricksLab, and works with Django REST Framework, FastAPI, Celery and Redis. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Central Punjab.
My day-to-day work uses Laravel, PHP, Django, Python, and relational databases. I’ve deployed projects with Docker and Azure and have practical experience with Linux, Redis, and GitHub Actions. I bring a pragmatic, maintainable approach to the code I write.

- Built a points calculator for a Test Match competition format, including custom result type logic, a win type enum, and seed scripts for all 11 scoring scenarios
- Designed a versioned Redis leaderboard cache for batting, bowling, and fielding stats to eliminate stale object bugs on deploy
- Resolved Redis client compatibility issues across environments so cached stats behave consistently
